The best retention tips!
First I want to say the responsibility relies on both the lash artist and the client you can not have good retention without each other doing their part!

Clients
I always recommend a lash serum, 100% of every client that has started to use a reputable lash serum with extensions has better retention because it conditions the natural lashes making them stronger to hold the extensions for longer periods of time!

Lash Bath: We all know how it is actually better to clean your lashes! When your lashes get sweaty and oily these oils get absorbed by our natural lash coats the extensions and disturb the bond between the natural lash and extension, causing the lash extensions to slip right off! Washing your lashes is going to prevent this from happening while keeping the lashes squeaky clean!

Now this one can be hard… Try avoiding sleeping on the face or sides. Think about it your laying on your lashes for 5-8 HOURS this tension causes the lashes to fall out because it snaps the lashes in the same motion your lash tech peels off the extensions during a fill!

Lash Sealant! A lash sealant’s purpose is to coat the adhesive creating a barrier that will prevent oil and debris from loosening the bond and prevent fall out. But I like to use sealant to coat the lashes as well to prevent them from twisting and turning once they have grown out! This is going to help you from having to try brushing them back into place over and over again, it’s also perfect for keeping long spikes, decals, and glitter lashes in place. Kinda like hairspray!

Lash techs is there any other tips you would recommend to clients for better retention? Lmk down below I would love to hear it! ️
